Andrea Johnson back in the dock with Fose Khan as a second senior police officer sues
eNCA Investigations reports a fresh lawsuit against the former IDC head, a public interest group pressing the NPA to review a scrapped matter, and a Hawks docket it describes as active.
Andrea Johnson and Fose Khan have appeared together in the dock, according to eNCA Investigations, which reported the reunion in a broadcast explainer published on its YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu3d6LYvfGM).
The former head of the IDC faces trouble over documents said to have been leaked to the former SAPS general in 2018. eNCA Investigations says it has exclusively learned that Johnson is now facing a fresh lawsuit from another senior police officer.
The same reporting says a civic organisation, described in the broadcast as a public interest body, is pressing the National Director of Public Prosecutions to review a decision by the Kempton Park magistrate’s court? The transcript refers to a decision taken by the “Ken TPP” to scrap another matter in which Johnson was implicated, a decision that resulted in the Hawks closing the docket.
According to an internal letter cited in the broadcast, Khan’s co-accused in another case, Ibrahim Kadwa, signed off on that decision. The Hawks say officially that the matter is active.
The broadcast frames its central question around whether Johnson is a law enforcer or a law breaker. The Enquirer has not independently verified the allegations and reports them as eNCA Investigations stated them.
All of the detail above comes from the eNCA Investigations broadcast. No charge has been confirmed in the fresh lawsuit, and the outcome of the request to the National Director of Public Prosecutions is not stated in the material.
