Roadworks hit Bellville as three busy roads torn up at once
The City of Cape Town says traffic in both directions will be affected along Willie van Schoor Avenue, Van Riebeeckshof Road and Tygerberg Valley Road, with temporary detours in place.
Roadworks are under way along segments of three busy roads in Bellville, with traffic in both directions affected and temporary detours in place.
The City of Cape Town said in a post on its official X account on Thursday that work is taking place along Willie van Schoor Avenue, Van Riebeeckshof Road and Tygerberg Valley Road.
Motorists using those routes should expect delays while the work is under way. The city’s notice did not say how long the work would take, which segments of each road are affected, or which detours drivers should follow.
The city directed residents to a link on its website for further details. No other information about the scope, cost or schedule of the work was given in the post.
