Khoza tells soccer fans to get up and vote as Ramaphosa visits PSL offices
The PSL chairman used the President's visit to the league's offices to urge supporters to turn out in the upcoming local government elections.
Premier Soccer League chairman Irvin Khoza has urged soccer fans to exercise their democratic right to vote in the upcoming elections.
Khoza made the call during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to the PSL offices, according to a Government of South Africa post on X that carried video of the occasion.
The government’s post tagged the message with the #LGE2026 and #GetUpShowUpVote hashtags, placing the appeal in the context of this year’s local government elections.
Beyond the call itself, neither the government’s post nor the material supplied with it sets out further detail of what was discussed at the meeting or any programme attached to the appeal.
The message directs supporters to turn out and vote, with the government framing the PSL chairman’s words as encouragement to use the ballot.
