DA tells voters to bring ID and find their station as election day lands on Wednesday
The party's eve-of-poll message pushes a three-item checklist and a WhatsApp line for voters who do not know where to cast their ballot.
The Democratic Alliance has told voters to carry their ID and to confirm their voting station before polls open on Wednesday, 4 November, in a short eve-of-election message posted to X on Monday.
The party’s checklist runs to three items: an identity document, a known voting station, and a cross next to the DA on every ballot. Voters who do not know where to vote are directed to a WhatsApp line on 0600 140 305.
Its closing line is a slogan rather than a policy promise: “Stop the chaos. Start service delivery. Vote DA.”
The post carries a single photograph from the party.
The message is a get-out-the-vote instruction rather than an announcement of anything new. It tells readers what to bring and where to go, and it points them at a party-run channel for the one piece of information a voter can still get wrong on the day.
What the post does not do is set out a policy position, a coalition intention or a claim about the result. Nothing in it addresses the questions a voter might still be weighing on the eve of the poll.
The ballot paper on Wednesday will carry more than one party, and the DA’s instruction is to mark it for them on every section.
