Army bids farewell to Bravo Company with a Colour Run at Potchefstroom base
The South African Army's Specialised Infantry Capabilities used the send-off for an internal deployment to raise awareness of gender-based violence.
The South African Army’s Specialised Infantry Capabilities held a Colour Run at Potchefstroom Military Base to bid farewell to Bravo Company ahead of its internal deployment, the South African National Defence Force said.
The event also promoted awareness of gender-based violence, according to the SANDF’s post on X.

It is a send-off for a company heading into an internal deployment, and the base turned it into a run rather than a parade ground ceremony. The SANDF did not say in its post where Bravo Company is deploying or how long it will be away.
Gender-based violence awareness was folded into the farewell, with the base using the gathering to put the issue in front of the troops taking part.
