Western Cape opens export fund to grow sales abroad and jobs at home
The province is inviting export-enabling organisations to review the guidelines and apply to the Export Global Accelerator Programme Fund.
The Western Cape Government has opened the Export Global Accelerator Programme Fund to applications from organisations in the province that help businesses sell abroad.
In a statement posted on its official X account, the province said the fund aims to grow exports, unlock international market opportunities and support job creation. Export-enabling organisations in the Western Cape are invited to review the guidelines and apply.
The statement did not set out how much money is available, who qualifies in detail or when applications close. Those details sit in the guidelines the province has pointed applicants to.
The pitch is straightforward: exports bring foreign revenue into the province and, on the province’s account, support work for the people who produce and move those goods. Organisations that help smaller firms reach buyers outside South Africa are the route the fund is using to get there.
Organisations that fit that description can find the guidelines and the application route through the Western Cape Government’s post.
