MK Party's final push: vote for our children, mark all three ballots
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party spent the eve of the 4 November local government elections urging supporters to turn out in numbers and use every one of their three ballots.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party used the final day before voting to tell supporters their vote is their last chance to decide, asking them to turn out in numbers on 4 November and to mark all three ballot papers for the party.
In a post on X on Tuesday, the party’s account carried the message: “Today is your last chance to decide! Tomorrow, make your voice count. Turn out in numbers, mark all three ballot papers and vote MK Party for a better future for our children. Every vote counts!”
The appeal was posted with three campaign hashtags, #DumelaMoagisane, #SithathaOmasipala and #MasibuyeleBantwini, and a photograph.
The message is the party’s closing argument to voters rather than a statement of policy. It asks for a full turnout and for every one of the three ballots a voter receives in a local government election to be used for the MK Party, and it frames that choice around children and the future.
The post gives no detail on which municipalities the party is contesting or what it is promising in them. It carries no figures and no claim about expected results.
With the polls opening on Wednesday, the party’s final public instruction to its supporters is simply to show up and to fill in all three papers.
