MK Party puts Duduzane Zuma in front of the cameras as election results come in
The party says its First Deputy President gave Newzroom Afrika his read on the 2026 local government elections from the Results Operations Centre.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party put Duduzane Zuma forward as its voice at the Results Operations Centre on Wednesday, saying its First Deputy President had been interviewed by Newzroom Afrika on the 2026 local government elections.
The party announced the interview on its official X account, posting four photographs from the broadcast and carrying its election hashtags, #VoteMKParty, #LGE2026 and #MasibuyeleBantwini.

The post identifies Zuma by his party title and places him at the ROC, the centre where the electoral commission collates and releases results. It gives no detail of what he said in the interview.
What the party has put on the record is the appearance itself. It chose its First Deputy President, and it chose the results centre, as the setting for its public comment as counting proceeded.
Beyond that, the party’s post does not set out a position on the outcome, a claim about its performance or a statement on any contest where it is competing. Those would need to come from the interview or from the party directly.

The Enquirer has not verified the contents of the Newzroom Afrika interview from this material.
