Vimuset Matlala, known as “Cat” Matlala, is back in court with 14 co-accused in the multimillion-rand SAPS health services tender case, eNCA (YouTube) reported.

His case had been separated from that of his co-accused after he entered into a plea agreement. That agreement collapsed when he rejected a 12-year sentence of direct imprisonment, opting instead for the eight years he was prepared to accept.

The accused face corruption charges linked to a SAPS health services contract valued at up to R228 million.
