IEC results leaderboard goes live as 2026 local election count continues
The Electoral Commission says its running results board is open to the public while vote counting and verification carry on across the country.
The Electoral Commission has opened a live results leaderboard for the 2026 local government elections, posting a running snapshot of the count as vote counting and verification continue across the country.
The commission announced the board on its official X account on Wednesday, telling voters that “the numbers are coming in” and that the leaderboard tracks the electoral race as results are processed.
The commission describes the board as a running snapshot rather than the final outcome. Counting and verification are still under way nationwide, and the picture on the leaderboard will change as more results are captured and checked.
The Enquirer has no further detail from the commission on the number of results captured so far, the municipalities still outstanding, or a timetable for finalisation, and will not estimate them.
The leaderboard is published by the commission itself and is accessible to the public. Voters who want to follow the count in their own municipality can consult it directly rather than relying on partial figures circulating elsewhere.
