GOOD takes its "one standard for all" pitch to Ward 49 streets as Cape Town voters head to the polls
Mayoral candidate Brett Herron and ward candidate Suzette Little spent polling day canvassing residents in Ward 49, the party said in its own post.
GOOD’s Cape Town mayoral candidate Brett Herron joined the party’s Ward 49 candidate Suzette Little on the streets of the ward on Wednesday, the party said in a post on its official X account, as residents went to the polls.
The post describes the two engaging with voters and encouraging residents to make their voices heard at the ballot. “There’s still time to cast your vote,” it reads. “Every vote counts towards shaping the future of our city.”

The pitch the party is putting to Ward 49 is what it calls “one standard for all”, which it describes as a promise that every street, suburb and community receives the same attention and quality of service delivery.
That is the party’s stated position, carried in its own words and not tested here against a service delivery record. GOOD’s post does not set out specific ward-level commitments, a costing or a comparison with what the City of Cape Town currently delivers.
The post also does not report turnout figures, results or any response from voters in the ward.

GOOD is contesting the 2026 local government elections, and the post is tagged to Cape Town and Ward 49. The party used the post to close its appeal to residents: “Don’t miss your opportunity to make your mark. Go out and vote!”
Voting in the ward was under way when the post was published.
