DA tells voters to take their ID and get to the polls: 'Stop the chaos, start service delivery'
The party's official account posted photographs of its leaders voting and engaging residents as it urged South Africans not to leave casting a ballot until the last minute.
The Democratic Alliance spent election day telling South Africans to get to their voting stations, with its official account posting photographs of party leaders casting their votes and meeting residents.
“Election Day is underway across South Africa,” the party’s account posted on X. “DA leaders are out engaging with residents and casting their votes as South Africans make their voices heard.”

The post carried four photographs from the party. It urged voters not to wait: “Don’t leave it until the last minute! Check your voting station, take your ID and head to the polls.”
The party’s closing message in the post was its campaign slogan, set in capitals: “STOP THE CHAOS. START SERVICE DELIVERY.” It was tagged #VoteDA.
The post does not set out policy detail, name the leaders photographed or give any voting figures. What it does is state the party’s case in its own words on the day the country votes: that the election is a choice about service delivery, framed against what the DA calls chaos.

That is a position, put by the party, and the ballot count is the answer to it.
