Build One South Africa used the last hours of polling day to make its closing argument to voters: that a vote for a new party is not a wasted vote.

In a post on its official X account on Wednesday, the party, which campaigns under the name BOSA, urged supporters to vote before polls close and framed its appeal around delivery rather than party tradition.

“Voting for new parties is NOT a wasted vote, a vote for BOSA is a vote to build our communities!” the post read. “Stop giving chances to those who haven’t delivered. Make your mark before polls close!”

The message sets out the party’s position on the day: against continued support for established parties it says have not delivered, and for itself as the vehicle for community-level delivery. The party did not name any other party or individual in the post, and it offered no figures or examples to support the delivery claim.

The closing-day appeal is also an instruction to its own supporters, with the party pressing voters to reach polling stations before voting ends rather than treating the outcome as settled.

BOSA’s post carried its campaign hashtag, #BuildOneSA, and a link alongside the text.
