BOSA thanks Ekurhuleni voters but gives no seat count
Build One South Africa's official X account thanked voters after the Ekurhuleni election and restated its three priorities, without naming a result, a seat or a coalition position.
Build One South Africa has thanked the voters of Ekurhuleni for putting their faith in the party during this election, in a post on its official X account on Thursday.
The party said it remains committed to “fighting for transparent governance, economic opportunity, and reliable services for all residents” in the metro.
That is the whole of what the post carries. It names no result, no share of the vote, no seats won and no coalition position, and it does not say what the party intends to do with whatever support it received in Ekurhuleni.
The three commitments it repeats are the party’s stated priorities for the metro: openness in how the council and its administration spend and decide, economic opportunity for residents, and services that arrive reliably.
BOSA is led by Mmusi Maimane. The post was published on the party’s verified account and addressed to Ekurhuleni voters directly rather than to the council or to any prospective partner.
For residents of Ekurhuleni, the practical questions the post leaves open are the ones that decide what the party can deliver on those three commitments: how many seats it holds in the metro, and whether it will govern, sit in opposition or enter an arrangement with another party.
The Enquirer could not establish those details from the material available at the time of writing. The party’s post does not address them, and no further statement accompanied it.
