ANC sends treasurer Gwen Ramokgopa to Soshanguve for final campaign push
The party's official X account says Ramokgopa worked wards 11 and 25 on the last stretch, and describes the reception as giving it confidence.
The ANC’s treasurer-general, Gwen Ramokgopa, spent the final stretch of the campaign in Soshanguve, working ward 11 and ward 25, according to the party’s official X account.
The post, published on Wednesday, describes a “final push” in the two Tshwane wards and says the “optimistic energy is contagious and gives us confidence to march forward”. It carries four photographs from the party and the hashtags #VoteANC2026, #LetsBuildBetterCommunitiesTogether and #MyVoteIsANC.

That is the party’s own account of the visit. The post does not give a crowd figure, name residents who attended, or set out what Ramokgopa told them beyond the party’s summary of the mood. The Enquirer has no independent count of the turnout at either ward.
What the post does establish is where the ANC chose to spend one of its last campaign days and who it sent. Ramokgopa is the party’s treasurer-general, and the message she is reported to have carried is framed around building better communities rather than around a specific promise to either ward.
The ANC is campaigning for the 2026 local government elections, and Soshanguve falls within the City of Tshwane. The party’s own post presents the visit as evidence that its message is landing. Whether it is landing is a claim the party makes about its own reception, and voters will settle it at the ballot box.
