ActionSA is campaigning in Cape Town on a message of change, telling voters that the party has a proven track record and that it can deliver even where it does not hold power, according to a broadcast published by eNCA (YouTube).

The party’s pitch rests on what it says its branches and volunteers have already done. According to the broadcast, ActionSA points to its structures going out to help residents, pushing for service delivery and cleaning up communities, and argues that this shows what it could achieve if it were given a mandate in the metro.

The broadcast also carries a voter’s view that the city is run in a way that has left people sick and tired, and that Herman Mashaba is the person who can change Cape Town for the better. It states that the voters of the city know this.

The message positions the coming contest as a choice about the city’s leadership, with ActionSA presenting itself as the vehicle for that change.

The transcript does not set out a date for any announcement, a policy programme or a response from the City of Cape Town.
